the things I cannot accept.

Got my first NY parking ticket today. A bullshit parking ticket, but a pain in the ass nonetheless.

Today’s read that I was parked across from the address of 239. Across from 239 on this particular street is an active driveway, where there is “no parking at any time” (duh). I was parked past the active driveway in a legit spot across from 245, and for no more than 8 minutes — I was just running to get coffee and a sandwich at two favorite neighboring spots after picking up laundry in Peter’s studio’s neighborhood.

I took a couple pictures to prove/show where the car was parked, and made sure the addresses on both sides of the street were in view, but I’m still annoyed. Like, yeah, I already know having a car in NYC is an unnecessary hassle, and out of state tags are a target. I have family outside of the city who have offered a place to park it… I just didn’t expect this crap to kick in so quickly.
