I'm Here.

Right now: Brooklyn, New York
Not long ago: Austin, Texas
This one time: Richmond, Virginia
Once upon a time: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Grant me the serendipity to change
the things I cannot accept.

Yesterday Marcie and I hiked for nearly two hours in the greenbelt, and swam for about as long. It was hot it’s always hot here, but I feel awesome today. This cool dog pictured above was a great model and my favorite part of the scenery.

Also, I know NOTHING about dogs and kept worrying while watching them jump in the water and swim super far out, in areas I knew were pretty deep (where my toes wouldn’t touch bottom).

My brain couldn’t stop tracking them and assessing / reassessing what I knew about how to handle a drowning human and how / whether to apply it to a drowning dog. That was a little stressful. Fortunately, no drowned dogs. They seem capable of treading water for days.
