I'm Here.

Right now: Brooklyn, New York
Not long ago: Austin, Texas
This one time: Richmond, Virginia
Once upon a time: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Grant me the serendipity to change
the things I cannot accept.

I don’t like getting rid of things that aren’t mine, so things like this happen when I’m packing:

Me: Hi, I still have this, maybe you want it, or maybe the kiddo does?

Ex from teens/early 20s: Nice! Yeah, send it!

—-

I also still have a friend’s slip-on shoes from her 2005 wedding because it’s always, “oh, just hang onto them, next time I see you…” But I’m mailing them… These things have been to three states with me, and this move is a big one with limited space so… No further!

  1. lacey said: you’re much nicer than me. I once kept borrowing a roommate’s tennis shoes and i wore them for years and goodwilled them after I moved over state lines with them. she’s not mad though.
