I'm Here.

Right now: Brooklyn, New York
Not long ago: Austin, Texas
This one time: Richmond, Virginia
Once upon a time: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Grant me the serendipity to change
the things I cannot accept.

  • Landlord: Leasing activity seems to slow down come the fall so we’d prefer a move-out no later than July 31st so a new tenant could move in in August and not September [on and on and on].
  • Me: Hi [name], The statistics are all over the place that about 200 people are moving to Austin per day. I don’t believe you will have any trouble filling my space regardless of when it becomes free [on and on and on].
  1. watchingithappen said: you are right. I just moved last month and spent the month previous looking for a place. Austin is 100% leased with 98% occupancy rates. Space is valuable, not people.
  2. brookebutler said: Wow, I know of many people (myself included) who are moving to Austin proper in the August/September months… It definitely won’t be a problem to fill your space, sounds like the landlord is just a control freak.
